Webelos and Bears Learn Survival Skills with the Boy Scouts

Posted on Mar 15 2015 - 7:59pm

A group of Bears and Webelos scouts learned some key survival skills this weekend, as they enjoyed some beautiful weather. They learned hiking first aid, how to rescue a hiker with a broken leg, signalling skills, how to build a fire, how to make a stretcher. They also earned their geologist belt loop and Webelos pin. On top of that, the Boy Scouts taught them how to make survival bracelets from parachute chord.  Thanks to Troop 571 for a fun filled weekend!  If you missed the fun, Troop 571 is helping teach at our April 25th Family Campout where we will have many of these events!
